Description
Open educational resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research materials in any format that are in the public domain or under open license for no-cost access, reuse, repurpose, adaptation, and redistribution by others. OERs can be used as supplements to existing curricula, as replacements for traditional textbooks, or as innovative approaches to encourage student contributions. Based on their experience with Oklahoma’s initiative, presenters will discuss the possible uses of OERs across courses, their experiences promoting and adopting OERs with faculty, the integration of this work into the library, and considerations for making an OER initiative successful and manageable.
